Linux Workshop

LUG is quite active or say the most active club organization in MIT. We are organizing some or other events nearly every week, be it Introduction to Linux or Install Fest. This time we are organizing “Using Linux Workshop” especially for those who are novice in the world of Linux, those who have never used this great OS or those who are fearful that doing anything on it can crash the whole system. :P

The event is of two days, on the first day we will be guiding the people on Basics of Package Management, concepts of Repositories, Types of Packaging, Software Alternatives of Linux. Second day will be dedicated to Command Lines, Linux Filesystem Hierarchy. We would be introducing our Sponsor to the members of LUG on that day.

People who will be conducting the workshop are:

  1. Anomit Ghosh (2nd yr)
  2. Manish Sinha (3rd yr)
  3. Ankur Srivastava (1st yr)
  4. Shashank Shekhar (1st yr)
  5. Nitin Abhishek (2nd yr) .
