Sometimes even the smallest and least maintained blogs can reach the new heights of popularity. I have one more blog at manishtech.wordpress.com which I usually use to keep an archive of my posts on the Tech Blog. This blog is not mantained and usually I dont have enough time to keep an eye on it.

Lately at home I decided to revive that blog. But how to revive it? The solution is to provide quality content and write all your articles in a very simple language. There are lots of blog for geeks, but cares of n00bs? Well I do! I always write all HOWTO’s, FAQ, articles keeping in mind that the reader is completely unaware of the topic am talking about.

I posted a new post titled “Linux Software Installation : Clear your myths” on that blog at around 10:30PM night. After going through some news articles on Google News,I just came back to check the stats. Whoa! It was 11:10PM at night and that post had got more than 10 hits. How could it have become so instant? I found that the traffic was redirected from tuxmachines.org. This is an excellent site for news on Linux. I got a sudden surge in traffic and within an hour, more than 120 people visited that post. Check that post on Tuxmachines.org

Now I just checked a page on wordpress which is listing the most popular blog who gained the most popularity. My blog is on number seven (7).  Am greatly overjoyed, will continue contributing to the society.
