February 23rd, 2008So finally got the mail from Merittrac this evening. I am happy to be shortlisted for the Interview which will decide my fate on the Internships at such a big company. Quoting from the confirmation mail (slightly trimmed)
Congratulations. We are pleased to inform you that you have cleared our All India Selection Test for INTERNS held on 17th Feb 08. We will inform you shortly about the Interview Schedules. We will give you enough time to ensure that you could plan your travel to the nearest center for the Interviews.
I just hope to have the interview at Bangalore, though I dont have any problems with Hyderabad too. I just hope that interview and sessionals wont clash, though in worst case, it will be the sessionals which will be sacrificed. More updates soon. Lots more to come.

Sessionals will be sacrificed? Tut tut. Don’t ever abuse Microsoft in front of me again.

Sessionals will be sacrificed? Now I dont think so, they told that they will inform us soon. It wont be so quick. on 2nd of March would be too early.
I just make a wild guess of interview date on 9th of March. I such a case, I would just be able to attend Revels.
And You too Swap! You dont like IE at all. I use IE6 which some people like you shun down. You say its dangerous, but I use it on my system which does not have an antivirus still. Safe browsing in not just responsibility of the Browser but also of the surfer.
And I had just asked you about the future of Yahoo if Microsoft acquires it. Didnt say anything against them that time.

I openly say I hate IE and love Firefox? That doesn’t make me a M$ hater. I never been one and won’t happen anytime in near future. I still like Windows in spite of crashes every alternate day.

Ya! I said it, but after writing the post, I thought that they wont do it so soon. They are providing the fare for the travel and accomodation as I have heard, not sure though.

You have to! The work you do needs windows, coz the softwares like LiveMonitoring or what ever it is, is available only for windows. May more more reasons, will ponder on it later.
