SE Project Nightout
Have you ever seen killing an ant with a gun? Or fretting hours for getting things done which could be achieved in a few hours? Yeah! We did it. It took us more than 6 hours to do something which can be done in just an hour. This is how we did it
We had to submit a project on Software Engineering paper. As a perfect engineer we recalled it near midnight. Finally the plan was made to assemble in Swap’s flat and do the needful. The work on project started at 12:30 at night. As usual we felt hungry, so swap ordered pizza, prepared lime juices, shakes etc for the well being of their friends
I and Rwik put up a lot of effort to get things done. Swap was busy cooking and serving food for these two hardworking people. And Yeah! Anup was deadly busy in watching TV, youp***.com and sleeping! Finally we gave our final touch to project at 6AM. Deadly tired we pleaded swap to take out the printout. Anup got up and asked was it done? We would be a fool, if we didnt make it even overnight.
The main hurdles were avaiabilty of easy net connection at 512Kbps, swap owns 3 computers and Rwik brought his laptop. Total of 4 comps for 4 people. Now imagine what would have happened to our project? Am happy that even after so many hurdles we achieved our aim.
We had lots of fun. Locked Anup outside balcony, Rwik made a video of mine having pizza like an animal (I was too hungry). Swap is camera shy, still Rwik has all the talents to get snaps of people without their notice. Keep it up Rwik, get going!

hey sir that would have been fun! hogging on pizza at dead night and having milkshakes and all. So how did the project get along.
and just out of curiosity… what was the project on?
Our project was “Invigilator Duty Assignment” , yeah it was a real fun, in the first part we didnt have to do the coding, just the design part, means finding out the useful entities of the project like Invigilators, students, classrooms, routine etc which are involved in the project…
Next step we have to do the coding, and next sessional testing of the developed software. Its a real fun if you take it with interest and a real headache if you just give it a damn.
And yeah, an update: today marks for this submissions was put up, we got 10/10
Cheers!
wow thats great.. congratulations
We need to keep it up for the second submission too. The coding part is the heart of the project for us.
We have decided to make it a web based application. And the best part is that 3/4 group members have the knowledge of PHP and MySQL over Apache. Our project can rock if we do it seriously.
I have tried my hands on Photoshop too. Thinking to give it a bit Web 2.0 feel
