Revels Sport Poster
Revels, the MIT cultural Fest is due to start on 12th of this month. This includes a lot of cultural activities like Dance, Song, Celebritie shows etc. On the other side, there are sports events at the heart of MIT. These include Basketball, Football and other such sports.
Designing the posters was a real challenge, the Sport Secretory of student council- Srinivas Kishore is from my class. He asked me to design a poster for Revels Sports, though am not a professional designer or artist. People suggested it to forward the task to one of our friends - Aavik.The outcome of his hard work has been widely appreciated, including the printing press. They found something new in it. The original PSD file is 233MB in size, its JPG file is 31MB, both of which are in resolution of 7000X5000 pixels. Imagine how huge it could be. Here am presenting the 450X332 resolution version. how much time did it took you to make this??????
Started at 6:30 PM to 8:30PM and then from 9:30PM to 2:00AM. That means total of 6.5 hours….
The problem was that due to large size and 512MB of RAM, any action was taking a long time….
And to correct you and all, I just told Aavik the requirements, he made it, I just made his work easier.

Yeah! I pushed him to do it fast. After every effect he gave, I told him - “Its Good Aavik, move to next layer”. He wasnt satisfied with each effect ,gradient or brush stroke he applied. Still he left it, just imagine if he was left to himself, he would have rocked the MIT with his art..
