If you are my regular blog reader the title of this post would itself be self explanatory, if not then you need some flashback. Yesterday was the bday party of one my friend, my classmate Rahul, it really lived up to the expectations, the 50+ crowd showed up its mettle on the dance floor, food was excellent. Well! I didnt notice the EnC girls, not much enthusiastic about them thought party is meant to making new friendship and relations. The party was of 3 people- Rahul, Vineet and Vikas, the trio showed a lot of hospitality, welcoming and treating guests. I guess they have good Hotel Management skills too ;)

First of all a Happy Rakshabandan to all of you! May be bond of trust and love between brother and sister last ever! Oops! One more news, till now I havnt received all the rakhis! One of my sis had sent it two weeks back by speed post, still its undelivered :-( One more rakhi missing sent through speed post but posted only a week back. Bad Luck!

Between, India lost badly to the English team, though Ganguly and Dravid showed up a good fight, still we lost by 42 runs. England is leading this 7 match series by 2-1. If India truly wants to come back, it should win the next match at Manchester on 30th August. Good Luck Team India!

Today at night, “The Edge” is gonna rock. One of my class friend Rahul has invited me to his bday party. Dance, music and excellent food will be center of attraction. I havnt went to Edge before but heard a lot about it. Three of them are giving the combined party. So we can hope of getting a view of girls from EnC ;)

Finally before concluding I would like to disclose that tomorrow is my birthday! I know that the bumps are going to be really hard. Have to be prepared, atleast mentally (physically I cant help). Its a bad luck that my friends are more excited about my birthday than myself. I can only hope that they get tired of dancing in Rahul’s bday party and may get less bumps

Hundreds of movies are produced at Bollywood every year but how many make their way to the audience minds? Hardly any of them except a few. After Rang De Basanti, Chak De India was the right movie which clearly made its way to my heart. Truly a patriotic movie! How many of us really like such themes? We usually frown on hearing that the movie is based of patriotism. But Chak De India was the right movie at the right time! Released somewhere around Independence Day, the movie got a lot of audience right from its first day.

The movie even showcases the plight of our sports and especially the women’s side. Sports is truly neglected in our country. More than 110 million people and we cant even win a gold medal at Olympics? Not only politicians are to be blamed, but its also we who should take up the responsibility. How many of us are encouraged to go to sports and athletics? We do live in such a society, we are asked to pay more attention to academics rather than these sports, surely sports has not takers in India. Its a misery, only Cricket is the unofficial national game and hockey which is the national game is sinking day by day, thanks to Government interference.

Apart from Patriotism theme I would also like to mention one more theme, movies based on values. Remember Munnabhai MBBS and Lago Raho Munnabhai. These two are the other two cherished movie of all time. Its really evergreen! Who thought that Gandhiji’s values would become so famous this day when the whole world is running after MONEY! People really liked the movie and gave Thumbs Up!

Come on Bollywood!! Is it the end? Audience are waiting desperately…

99 and back to pavilion?

Yesterday the world witnessed one of the worst umpiring decisions. Sachin was playing an excellent game and the crowd was cheering at its heights. Balls passed by and Sachin came to a score of 99, only one run short of his century. He tried to leave Andew Flintoff ’s ball which had attained height after bouncing. But what a luck! The ball hit his arm guard and went straight to Prior. The players appealed and the deadly finger showed up. Sachin was awe-struck. He looked quite baffled. The disappointed batsman showed that the ball hit his arm-guard and left for the pavilion.

Even Yuvraj Singh who played well after Sachin returned back did not have his luck favored. He also had leave on the score of 49, that is one run short of his half-century. Dravid who was still on the crease showed off an excellent game and took away the man of the match title. Dravid was not able to make his century due to shortage of overs left. India finally finished at a whooping score of 329. It was difficult enough to be chased.

Though England didnt manage to chase the target, the thing that disturbed most was that the tailenders played quite well. Mascarenhas hit 5 sixes and a four in 39 balls to complete his half-century before being dismissed by Agarkar. Finally all congrats to Team India for their excellent performance. You can still improve. Best of Luck for your 3rd One Day match on 27th August at Birminghum.

First of all belated Happy Independence Day to all of you my friends. Yesterday was really a special day, apart from celebrating 60 years of Independence we 6 friends went for a trip to the Western Ghats. Western Ghats is really awesome, its God’s own place. The places we visited were Malpe Beach, Hanging Bridge and End Point River. Most of the time we spent was in Hanging Bridge which was the main center of attraction. Nobody can even expect a bridge made just with Iron ropes and cement base with no support pillars in between that too in a rural area!!

Am too exhausted still now, didnt have proper sleep last night and 8AM to 5PM classes are giving me nightmares. The only thing we can smile upon is 4 half-days out of six working days :)

Check out the complete album of the trip. Click Here
